The Ministry of Choir

The Ministry of Choir is to enhance the active liturgical participation of the Worshipping Assembly. Hence, they are not performers. Rather they are leaders who help those who come to church to make use of their voices in praising and thanking God. Each time there are new hymns to be sung, the choir will take time to teach the congregation how to sing them before the Eucharistic celebration begins.

The ideal situation is that all those who come to the Church will be able to raise their voices to give praise to the Lord. To achieve these, the choir’s role is to ensure that the hymns they have chosen are hymns that the congregation can sing at the same time they do have the texts of the hymns in front of them in order that they might be able to join in.
